This is what I think the shorts are thinking:

1. Subscribers steadily going down = less people using bb and will eventually hit 0 and fall off the map.

2. BB is not popular in the states. Very few large technological firms do well after determined unpopular in the states. I personally can't even name one right now but that doesn't mean that there aren't any at all.

Their list used to be about 10 reasons why BB should be shorted.

As Morgan said, BB will have to prove a viable business model the next few quarters to restore confidence in the market. When that happens, the other reasons to short will wilt.

Been running on stealth mode while I've been out there looking for a gig lately... but:
Reminder, If you want $BBRY to run after ER Friday morning, you have to have buying funds available.
IMHO, I wouldn't sell BBRY at all to generate these funds, but I would sell other assets.
If the news is to your liking, then you have to show your support and BUY. No matter what the SP does at open...
Goes down, buying will lend support and drive it back up.- thus benefiting your existing BBRY investment.
Going up at open, then buying will drive it up further - laws of supply and demand - same benefit to your investment.
Available capital from other assets meant to buy BBRY on Friday will drive this SP up - if not all on Friday, then next week after the analysts get a chance to rate them higher once again.
In every case, you have to BUY on Friday... not sell. Unless this thing pops above $22, you shouldn't want to get out on Friday... IMHO

I bought 220 @ 17.30, then another 220@ 12.10 and recently 460 @ 14.10 to get me too 900 shares. I'm taking money outta my line of credit to do this. It if shares hit $100 in a year I can pay my mortage off. I may borrow more and aim for a retirement fund
