This is a great news for the BBRY because it means the BB phone has more residue value than the iphone and Andoid.
I will trade in my old BB 7 phone for $75 credit then bought a Q10.
That's what I did when I got the Z10. They gave me $50 for the 9780 and a bonus $25 for a promo they had at the time. I got $75 for a phone which was beat up and was no longer using.

Isn't that a manipulation strategy? Post a buy order of large magnitude to draw people into selling at or near that price, then withdraw the purchase bid. I'm probably wrong but it got to that price with no uptick in volume or price.

Shaky??? So in 3 months we've suddenly gone from the UK is the biggest fan to ready to fall off the table??? BS!!

By the sounds of the article they had some misleading telephone conversations with Modoff's call center folks. They call this research???

Me thinks these fackers should be roasted like suspected witches were...incredibly disgusting people.

An iPhone, not even a new one would be worth hundreds and not $75

Why is that a manipulation? The bid was there for more than1 hrs now. It does not withdraw at all. Anyone are welcome to sell at 14.39.
So I don't believe it is manipulation.

The opposite makes more sense, manipulation of the good guys setting a floor on 14,40.

Compare Modoff to Michael Collins. Collins and Madoff both have reported good uptake in Canada for BB10. They used the same sources. Where they differ is in the UK. They also differ in where they collected their information.

Modoff said he checked 60 different stores within the past week, 30 of which were in Canada and 30 of which were in the U.K. He said of the U.K. stores, half of them were O2 stores, and the other half were Everything Everywhere stores.

Collins reported, "I don't know who ITG spoke to for its report, but it certainly hasn't spoken to Selfridges UK, where the BlackBerry Q10 (BBRY) is outselling the Samsung Galaxy S4 (SSNLF.PK). When asked how this compared to the Z10, sales were far superior, especially one month post launch. The Carphone Warehouse at Selfridges is the number one retailing location for mobile phones in the UK bar none."

My question is, why didn't Modoff use 'the number one retailing location for mobile phones in the UK bar none' as his source? Or maybe he did talk to them and didn't like what he heard.

It'll be interesting to see the average days to cover the short position at the end of the day. Volume has become almost anemic lately and I have a suspicion that the short interest has gone up yet again.

Now wouldn't that be funny. Having no real interest at that price, but wanting to screw over their competing firms by not letting them drop the price... hahaha.

My thinking is that those findings would go against his objectives. He likely started by creating his title before the "research" and scribbled his rag before he received the "results".

Research In Motion Ltd (BBRY): Solid In Canada, Shaky In U.K.

In their view, Research In Motion Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) (TSE:BB) did a better job in Canada because the sales reps there were “much more effusive” about the Q10.
