I think it's just in Europe but I don't know for sure. I've been getting and sending BBM's no problem today.
    Me too. No BBM issues.

I read somewhere on another CB forum in that BB10 devices were OK because they are not on BIS

Another interesting bet would be to see if the Dow can cross and close above $15,000 today... It's just a stone's throw away. Broad market activity could affect BBRY too, something to keep in mind if you're thinking about a short-term trade.

For everything but BBM, that is correct. BBM still runs through the BB NOC. If the NOC goes down, we lose BBM but retain email functionality and everything else.

Yeah but I can't see employment spiking right now. Employers are barely keeping what they have.
Plus with the new health care laws in the US, the mandatory provisions kick in at 30 hours per week and 50 employees. If you think companies around those thresholds aren't managing them, you are mistaken. I am not arguing against universal healthcare, but clearly this law is going to influence hiring and staffing patterns.

Seems to be a global outage but only for some devices / networks. Estimated fix approx. 3PM BST, so that should be soon.

It is not global. That headline is wrong. It is isolated to a few areas but mostly in Europe. It's still a pain in the *** though so don't think I'm trying to play it down.

Well, as much as any sane person wouldn't call this a major global outage, our friendly neighbourhood shorts have this knack of making an H class planet out of a molehill.

And everyone was up in arms over the loss of BIS. Perfect example as to why I'm not overly upset about it.
Not related to BIS ... if 75% BES/BB10 faulty ratio is right ... get some cash ready if you can afford it.
From what I've seen : O2 and Vodafone in UK only.

Last thing we need is him jumping on the bandwagon. He is the kiss of death as far as I am concerned.

I think there was a study done and when he tells people to buy a stock it will immediately shoot up. But then a couple of days later it will sell off.
