I just dropped John at AllThingsD an email based on his ridiculous post he put up this AM - completely uninformed.

Basically, he goes off on how Selfridges doesn't sell smartphones, therefore its not a big accomplishment. He misses the fact that it was a Carphone Warehouse inside of Selfridges that sold the device - thus his whole rant is pointlessly without merit.

One trend I find interesting in the past few days is that both Appl and BBry traded higher for several days now. When is that last time you saw that happening? I'm of the belief that Apple is doing some buying right now to bid the stock up to create upward pressure. The uptrend in BBRY is people seeing a opportunity.

BTW, what's up with the headline about Apple bringing a phone to market in June when Tim Cook clearly said NO NEW PRODUCTS UNTIL Fall. I guess the shorts are now trying to create fake positive news in hopes that it will affect BBRY. ***shrugs***

I think people are confuesed as the new OS is to be showcased at WWDC in June. They seem to be going off of rumours now that the phone will be available in July.

Lots of backlash and negative comments on Thor's comments about tablets being dead in 5 years. That's not affecting the stock which is good. BBRY isn't a tablet player.

I have a feeling that bbry envisions smartphones as a pc/laptop/tablet replacement. Eventually people will have smartphones that plug into thin clients (dumb terminals). So you'll have a $600 smartphone that plugs into a$100 dumb tablet and the cpu/memory is all on the smartphone.

Mark Sue RBC Capital Markets - "pent up demand" You'd be surprised how much people like the physical keyboard. 78 M users world wide. Enterprise will be big. Z10 "decent" device but crowded space. Price target is $18. Short interest will help get it up there. Not sure beyond $18 though.Have to get the devices out and execute.

Quite possibly and I'd be a fan of that. I'm actually using my PB less now because the Z10 is very powerful, minus the smaller screen of course.

Thing is that idea has already been done by Asus through the PadPhone and it hasn't been the greatest success. Here's hoping BBRY has a more innovative and attractive way of doing this.

Computers are available everywhere as is. Why not just screens and keyboards in the future. Because everyone carries all their files and important content on their hip. Walking around with a phone that's also a hard drive is happening already.
