Yes, I've noticed it as well.

Google Finance (which I use out of habit) just plain sucks... it's pretty buggy and feature poor, which is surprising for a Google product.

I agree. I'd hate to either miss out on a big rally or lose a ****load on a major sell off due to being busy doing other things.
