No it is not, need for advertise very close to launch. Too early and you waste marketing dollars.

Disagree. We're within a month, so when is a good time to let people know there's another device coming out?

The BBRY Café. [Formerly: I support BBRY and I buy shares!]-bbry-short-interest.jpg Trying to locate latest short interest position ended in March but it's not posted yet. But when I looked March 15th data, it says 'days to recover' = @ 2.9. So is that not mean, all short postion covered within 3 days? Now, I understand that those shorters might have build up another short postion but based on this information: is that means all short position must covered within days mentioned?

No, not at all. All is does is take the ENTIRE short position and divide that by average daily volume. If EVERY short covered and bought EVERY share sold then it would take x # of days. That never happens. It does show magnitude of the short position but as long as the shorts don't get a margin call, they don't have to cover and normally, almost never (that I know of) would do so in just 3 days as they would drive the stock price thru the roof (a short squeeze). Its a metric to compare versus other stocks, but as a practical matter doesn't tell us much.

I saw one. At the NYC blackberry launch party

The owner was giving everyone flyers to get them to sign up for the no name tmo mvno/pyramid scheme that was selling the z10 for $1000 ahead of US launch.

Yeah, and the Windows Phone at 7.5% pretty much seals the 3rd place mark for BBRY.

Well, we're up a little and have been holding fairly steady for a little while here. I just hope it's enough to hold on for the rest of the day and resist the end of day sell off.

We're more likely to see an end of day sell-off when volume is high - there just isn't all that much profit for daytraders when it's all sideways like this.

Even those who shorted on this morning's daily spike likely exited before noon.
