I'd say, at best, Apple will simply build some features into their existing OS
Which will put them in the same boat that rim was in, trying to add parts to their monolithic OS to add functions that it was never designed for and we all saw where that lead. No, Apple's iOS has peaked, and now they need to revamp it. assume they started in 2012 and that it will take two years to build a new OS. BBRY has a chance to become a solid #3 this year and with luck will take market share from apple. The DOD report about unsecured devices on their network and the need to secure the system can only help BBRY and hurt Android and Apple.

They're behind the game right now and BBRY tends to spend more of their cash on R&D than Apple does so far. Looking at the underlying tech, Apple has been rocking the same kernel since the original Diablo came out.
Apple probably spends more on legal fees than BB spends on R&D. LoL Apple R&D = Steal, then litigate.

They don't actually invent anything. They just patent rounded corners or rubberband animations.

If I had the extra funds, I'd buy in some more for sure. We're going through a rough time right now but I doubt we'll see the SP in the $14's again after a few weeks. I think a few weeks is what we need to shuck the media off our backs and let the stock take care of itself like it's normally supposed to.

Don't waste your money adding here. Wait at least till it drops below SMA50. There's no real support here and it could very well drop down further.

    BlackBerry claims 12% UK share
Manufacturer disputes recent survey that claimed it had 5% share of UK market
    Add Your Comment...

BlackBerry has disputed figures from research agency Kantar Worldpanel ComTech, which claimed the manufacturer only had a 5% share in the UK.

In its monthly mobile tracker, Kantar said BlackBerry's prominence in the market had dropped sharply from 12 months ago, when it had a 16.8% share. BlackBerry has experienced falling market share for several years, with its recently launched BB10 platform placed at the centre of its fightback against rivals Apple and Samsung.

In a statement issued last night, a BlackBerry spokesperson said the research agency's statistics were based on survey research, rather than sales. She said: 'According to sales data from GfK for the December-February period inclusive, BlackBerrys UK market share was 11.9%. With 1 million BlackBerry 10 devices shipped globally in February alone, were confident of maintaining our position as the UKs third most popular smartphone and platform.'

We reached $18.32 before Z10 launch. Then it pulled back. I thought it was only a matter of time before we cross $18.32 again. But since then, we have come close to $17, 3 or 4 times, but never crossed $18! It has been 3+ months. I wonder how are bears/stocks able to keep stock price pressed down for so long!

Hmmm... RSI near 50 and SMA 5 20 and 50 only pennies apart. Did all the daytraders leave? Or did all the manipulators leave and the daytraders will follow shortly?

This could turn sour if we don't get some news quickly.

not liking this 3% drop today. was there a cause? looking at my charts the entire market is down about 0.7% and apple meanwhile rose over 1%

I was expecting to see something around $16 for week's end
