They should since they have access to the BlackBerry App World. Subscribers is a term that I think we will not hear often going forward, I think they will go with Users or active devices.
I'm more interested in playbook users than BBos subscribers, since they will get a taste of BlackBerry 10 when it comes to the Playbook.

"IF" they get to taste it you mean. The proverbial "sometime in the future" that BB has thrown around alot with the PB leaves me very little hope of seeing it on my PB anytime soon.

Considering they're probably going to use the code for the PB for their low-end models of phones, I don't doubt that it's on the way.

I test drove a Q on the weekend. It is a very nice form factor, and the ergonmics of the OS/keyboard is excellent. With that said, I love the Z's keyboard better (thats my preference of course), and the extra realestate of screen space is welcome. Totally understand the folks that want a keyboard, and I think its awesome BB is offering both.

Those waiting for the Q thou, will NOT be disappointed, feels really cool in your hands and works really well.

Its basically a 9900 on steroids ...... seriously powerful steroids

Let me try to provide the definition:
A BB Subscriber is the one who subscribes certain BB services by paying a fee (monthly, annually or prepaid) to Blackberry.
If a BB phone owner does not subscribe the service provided by BB (such as most Z10 owners) and pay no fee, then he or she is not a BB subscriber. On the other hand, if any other smartphone owner (such as iPhone or Android phone), who subscribes certain BB services by paying a fee is counted as BB subscriber.
