Overall a good call, though still very vague about service revenue. Interesting that the one questioner asked a question that implied sell through of 3.5mm BB10 for q1 was somehow bad - for context, Nokia sold 4mm windows 8 phones - in a holiday quarter.

Good point. It's amazing how well the cut costs IMO. One of the strongest points in the ER. Other positive points for me:

Profit (duh)
Commencing on producing lower priced models
Vertical integration: This part was great! Heins saying that they are planning to move outward into the computing industry (not sure exactly how) and will look for opportunities outside the mobile industry.
Increased marketing for next quarter by 50%! Big things planned.

Q10 to come in April will see pent up demand gusher!

I think the key take away is the loss in subs, that is a lot of millions lost when people upgraded at Christmas.

agree that a dip in subscribers isn't good, but is also unsurprising as last-gen blackberry demand has fallen, particularly with the Z10 here and the Q10 on the horizon.

the profit is HUGE. most analysts were giving it between (0.28) and (0.39) and it ended up with +0.22 again, HUGEEEEE

can't wait for the rally. there will be some covering of shorts and a lot of negative (but baseless) spin

I feel like we should have gapped up a bit further and climbed to 8% by now, and at least $16.50 by the end of the day, but those are gut intuitions and do not play the game of numbers and statistics needed to fully understand an ER
