Might be another big bear raid this morning...be ready to buy if you're interested in some bargains.

It'd be hilarious if shorts end up 'shorting' more today to keep the price down (despite +0.22 EPS). They might win in the short-term but they'll get fuc** in the long run if they short even more! Smart shorts will start covering at a slow pace starting today through June (because news can only get worse for them. There will be full 3 months of Z10 sales and some Q10 sales by next June!!).

If they don't learn now, they are fuc**. That said, it's very likely that shorts are already hedged so they won't really "lose" much money. Nonetheless, they still have to cover and we will benefit as they start covering.

Sell-through at 7.9 million phones for the quarter!!!!!!!!!!!! This just keeps getting better!!!! Inventories were so low going into this quarter. Man, this is one of the most interesting quarters in the company's history. The stock could end above $ 16.00 today, its up to the bears to hold it back now. Love the numbers so far. We have to get through question period and then the PM price can react. Please Heins do not rain on this parade man.

PS I think subs will be back up nicely in Q1, just a pause to refresh the product line. Let's hear about sales in America Heins. No complaints so far here as they even built inventory and still have cash at $ 2.9 billion. WOW

Interesting to hear that Canada's market grew by 62%!!

I'm pretty sure the Canada thing will be spun out as a negative, as in they only posted a profit due to national pride causing sales of Z10 in the home country

This is HUGE in terms of conquest but also means that when Q10 hits the street ... A LOT of current BB users will jump on it.

The company become much more efficient now.
GAPP cost per year decrease to 4 billion while the margin becomes much higher at 40% now.
Assume that going forward, we stay at 40% margin, the break even revenue is only 10 billion per year.
In other words, once the company comes back to 20 billion revenue, then it can make almost $7 EP.
I think they can return to 20 billion revenue soon with following break down:
1. Service Revenue = 0.9 X4 = 3.6 billion
2. low end handset sales = 4 billion (5 million handset per Q with $200 ASP)
3. High end handset sale = 10 billion (5 million handset with $500 ASP)
4. Other revenue such as playbook or software = 1.4 billion.

Current users likely waiting for their current contract with carrier to come up for renewal. Very few people jump on latest and greatest right away. Majority of cell phone users wait until end of contract, or until their phone is broken, before getting a new one. Not all are like us and get the newest and best right away
