I just checked Los Angeles and Chicago and got the same thing...but only for the $799 version.

Hoping to fill an order for 700 more on Monday morning.

The data points are adding up. I am fully aware of the risks of confirmation bias. Though I could still be falling for them. Haha.

Blackberry Z10 fails to break Amazon Top 100 Best Sellers, being outsold by Blackberry Curve and Torch | WMPoweruser

    UPDATE:

I thought I would see for myself and guess what? For unlocked phones the Z10 sits at #8. Pretty good for 24 hours.

4.2 minutes engaging the ad??? Wow! Let's just hope it's not mostly spent trying to hit the tiny "x" on the corner (frustratingly impossible on touch screens).

Hmmmm, great write up sir. For anyone who is a car guy, this smells like Tucker vs The Big Three (Ford, GM, Chrysler) back in the 1940's.

Read the first paragraph in the Wikipedia link. I think you'll agree......the resemblance is uncanny. Our Wikepedia story a few years down the road will have a much better ending though!!!

I hate seeking alpha articles but I
Love this quote "Looking at the pictures of a typical line for Apple launches, you will notice that you do not see many suit and tie business types lined up. "

    http://seekingalpha.com/article/1296...the-volatility

Pretty much what I said about why there are no lineups for the Z10. Because most blackberry users actually have jobs to be at.

Steve Jobs was a master of the game. Limited release of the iphones at apple stores only guaranteed line ups when the iphones was new and hip.
BBs are sold at dozens of locations in any given town let alone large cities. I should not be amazed at the gullibility of the general public anymore but they seem to be more obtuse then I imagine on a daily basis!

Are you a store rep ? Can you locate the stores you're talking about ?
    Thanks !

Exactly, you have people funneled into 370 stores compared to 16000 AT&T stores and 1050 Best Buy

Except that's not how it's done. My girlfriend has owned every iPhone on launch day, all bought at the Corp AT&T store in the Woodbridge Mall in New Jersey. Additionally every USA carrier offers pre-order availability the same day the Apple stores do.

Folks, why would you go to Best Buy to buy the unlocked phone for that money? AT&T offering "month to month" $549 even if you have to unlock it yourself (they should unlock it if you pay full price but I am making a point) it's another $10 or $15 bucks. I checked downtown Manhattan (10007 zip code) on the AT&T site, every store has stock available.

Just a question...does anyone think or have they considered the reason for the dip could be from large scale straddle positions? If I was a large hedge manager I think I would be employing that tactic with the ER coming.

Just thinking it's a win win for them...drives the market down, shakes out loose hands and they're protected should Thursdays numbers kick ****.

I think this to be wise advice.

"Hopefully you do not believe the lack of people lined up to buy the phone on launch day in the US indicates BlackBerry is going bankrupt. If you do, stop reading now, or better yet put your money where your mouth is and short the stock."

We know that the z10 is awesome. We know that blackberry is not going out of business anytime soon. We also know that shorts will need to cover soon. So it seems that bbry has nowhere to go but up.
