Thanks for this Marc, can you expand on this a bit? I am also quite new to this with BBRY in my TFSA. If I sell some shares in one day, I cannot buy them back the same day unless I have 'extra' liquid cash in the account (not just the 'on paper' amount I get from selling those shares)?

Yes it sounds like you have it
If your account is a cash account (as opposed to margin), the proceeds from a sale of a stock will be unavailable to you until after the sale clears (this may require physical delivery of stock certs to broker, I'm not positive). It usually takes about 3 days.

So for example (again, only applies to a cash account):

Cash Balance: 1500

Day 1
------
Buy 100 shares BBRY at $10. Cash balance: 500
Sell 100 shares BBRY at $15. Cash balance: 500

Day 2
------
Buy 10 shares FB at $5. Cash balance 0

Day 3
----
Sell 10 shares FB at $10

Day 4
-------
BBRY sale clears. Cash balance: 1500

Day 7:
-------
FB sale clears. Cash balance: 2500

Not me, I'll let it ride until September, and then I will start looking at closing. As I mentioned previously, bought in at 12,7&12,8.. that way too good of a position to close it at 18$. I only see 2 scenarios, there will be a take-over, or this is hitting at least 30$ by the end of the year. So why close only at 18$ and wait for dips when you can sit comfortably and watch it go up.

Maybe because I've been through this before with my other stocks? I'd rather take the sure thing and buy back in later than to sit on something for a year or two waiting for the rewards. Remember, some of us are not long and are just doing this for the fun of it, even though we are dedicated Blackberry customers.There are multiple devices being released this year and I'll gladly play the dips and peaks for the sport of it. Bottom line is we are all on here together for whatever reason and enjoying each others company as we watch our stock go up and down.
