Side note...I parked my iPhone a month ago when the Z arrived...today at lunch I had to show a friend how to email a picture off his iPhone. Involved updating a contact info field and then sending the photo...what a clunky antique compared to BB lol...took several steps and many back button pushes.

Not as antiquated as BB7. Truth of the matter is most people are still on BB7 and that is the most antiquated of them all. What is worrisome is that a lot of people won't even be able to afford the Z10 and at the same time all their friends are getting newest and shiniest Android devices their BBs look even worse.

I am rooting for BlackBerry, but it ain't gonna be easy. Keeping this Thread Real.

I was wondering if your TA has baked in the upcoming release of good news such as the Whatsapp release plus the negative news of the S4 launch? Or is it a purely based on historical trends.

The TA is what it is, it is historical in nature and you never really know what drives a stock. Today we get the Samsung phone "almost" launch, the comment by Lenovo that they aren't looking at BBRY and the fact that we missed breaking out to the upside yesterday, i.e. no follow through. So the TA is a snap shot of where we have been and we try to figure out what the pros will do to it today. It makes tons of sense to believe that we will test yesterdays lows, I want that to happen early and at that time I will look at the volume. I want us to stay inside the sym-triangle too, I don't care when we exit it as long as we rally from here, properly. I see phones as fitting into their consumer sectors, Androids and the new GS IV have a market for their phone and it isn't business, BB is business and some retail and i Phone is riding a bubble right now. I'm more concerned about Samsung then I am Apple, so this phone does have some affect on BB, but, it is a different animal, it is physically huge for some, it runs Android and unless you are a techie, that's not a positive, and, it is the i Phone alternative for sure. But so is the Z10, and the long awaited Q10, they are the first op for consumers to ditch their boring i Phone products. Let's hold the 50-dma and see what the GS IV launch looks like, you should see the affect if there is any ...... in both AAPL and BBRY!

When 147,000,000 are sold short you better get your media trolls to print anything real or FAKE. 147,000,000 or 1/3 of the company has been sold and at some point in time bought back. That number blows my mind and is the only reason why BBRY is selling for under $20. BBRY should be well north of $20 today. On the bright side you can buy a $20+ stock for $14-$15. Keep digging shorts as I more and more users continue to buy BBRY. I converted two iphone5 users who not only bought the Z10 but also have bought BBRY shares. Once you have used the Z10 you will ses it beats EVERY SINGLE SMARTPHONE on the market today on every single metric. The only thing the Z10 gets beat on is the number of apps and with 70K+ apps it becomes a non-issue.

Speaking of BlackBerry, analyst Paul Peterson with boutique research firm BlueFin this morning writes that it “appears that management is confident that the BB10 launches will be an unqualified success” given order patterns to parts suppliers, which show a “significant surge in orders in the past 30 days.”

“Our checks indicate that some suppliers are seeing 6-month order coverage that is several orders of magnitude larger than the previous 6 months, with some suppliers believing that they can get back to 2011 revenue levels if the present forecast levels hold up.”
