woulda expected the opposite.

I think this is troubling and what the CNBC talking head was worried about. We need hard sales numbers and a US launch date. Well, OK, that is what I want....

considering today was supposed to be a big battle between the bears and the bulls in the 'wedge', and today, the bulls are holding off the bears and holding onto this morning's gap-up with really low volume ( TSX ), this can only be a good sign for tomorrow.

now, if re-hashed news suddenly comes out and the stock tanks before close, then bears will win this round...until US launch is confirmed and ER report positive news, that is.

keeping score of news today:
bulls: FCC tests pass for verizon. canadian retailers say Z10 best selling phone of Feb. Heins says production increasing.
bears: old story of Q10 being delayed, maybe until May or June in the US.

The lunch time segment I saw was factually correct. Two talking heads battled over it, but they got the "facts" correct. I think the market and many people, are trying to figure out the facts and what we know and what it all means. I hate to quote Donald Rumsfeld, but I love this particular quote and use it often: "There are known knowns. These are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things that we know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know." THIS is the problem for the market trying to digest and trade on the info BBRY and Thor are putting out right now.

For some reason this play seems all to familiar.

Very similar situation as BBRY - it was a downtrending stock and needed news to turn it around. Any positive news (but no factual solid data) would drive the stock down, but once there was it shot up like a rocket. I have a feeling maybe this week we will see a big green day. I just have that feeling that the bears are pushing it down as far as possible before good solid factual news comes out, which seems to be very soon with the US launch.
