Wanna know what this thread is all about ?
I scrape the bottom of the barrel. And I double under 10.

Disclaimer: this is NOT anyhow an advice.
Cool. Wanna give us a rundown on your RIMM stock experience so far? How many shares do you own? When did you buy them and at what price?

as written V : 50 shares (nothing) about a few days (weeks ?) after the thread started @ $15.
I explained too many times to start over ... please just go a few pages before (or #1 post), if you find any kind of interest in that (incl. possible psychological disorder ).

Interesting article, you may - or not - share the conclusion, but there's a lot to learn in it. Nothing very new, yet quite wide view.

don't know who is "you" ... but whatever I'll invest in will NEVER endanger my family future. I work on my own with my brain, hands and sweat for living.

And yet the stock price of RIMM continues to go up. There clearly has been a turnaround, so go ahead and continue to sit on the side and criticize without facts. I will continue to make money on the stock.

Even with the rebuttal of the Samsung rumor, RIMM has regained almost all of the gain that most attributed to the rumor. So BGR did their pump and dump but the overall trend is...UP.

And if the "Shorts" had made a killing they would have flocked here. Their absence is because RIMM is rising, and the shorts lost their shorts. Sell those used ipads, boys!
I love this one, especially in light of the AT&T Employee thread. Sorry....

I have 2 words for you "stop loss." You might be making a great entry into this, but I'd set a floor and top now and don't change them. It limits your up and down and takes the emotion out of it when you win or lose. Otherwise its hoping, not investing and that, plus RIMM has proven to be a disaster.

Good luck, you'll be happy if it pops!

No, don't buy RIM shares and have no plan to do so. If a good BB 10 device with a keyboard comes out I may purchase one though.

    Does that count?

That's a bigger help to RIM than these hail Mary share purchases.

I have been buying the stock over the last few months. I look at it as dollar cost averaging. If it rebounds good for me. If it doesn't I understood the risk involved.

In this case, "dollar cost averaging" is a respectable sounding euphemism for "throwing good money after bad"

LOL. Yeah. Ask Watsa how his dollar cost averaging is working out for him. But wait...it is a long term investment. The only reason he says it is long term is because he is in the red. If he were in the black, all the CNBC goons would be interviewing him and he would be saying how awesome he was, how smart he was, and how he knew everything. Really pretty funny if you think about it.

Hard to be a long term investment, 12 more days like yesterday and there won't be a stock anymore. Scary to think what will happen after the earnings report.

If that's your strategy then you should probably wait another 4-5 months.

Thats not dollar cost averaging. Dollar cost averaging is investing lets say 5000 a month every month and when the share price is 50 a share you get 100 shares but when the share price is 10 you get 500 shares. This technique is not designed to average down stock with poor fundamentals; rather it is designed to keep you in the stock market but in a diversified portfolio.

    Actually ... I tripled my 50 @$15 and add 100 @ $7.4 cap.
Makes average under $10. Seems reasonable for now. Depending of what will append in next weeks and if stock goes down again around 5 ... well ... time for another 750, I believe.

Gut investment ? Probably. So what.

    Disclaimer:
As I said numerous times here, specialist may call me just stupid. And I can't/won't argue technically with them, they know much more than I (not hard, I know - almost- nothing about finance), so I thank everyone for their concern about my bank account. Just be certain this will not take the food out of my family's mouth and I won't suggest anyone does.

    Do or die ?
    OK I bet & I do.

Experience taught me a few things. One is to listen to your gut, no matter how good something sounds on paper. The second is that you're generally better off sticking with what you know. And the third is that sometimes your best investments are the ones you don't make.

I think you are going to loose your money, and you can do what you want with it, but in this case you're throwing good money after bad. And quoting that 'wind bag' Donald Trump does nothing to dissuade me.

    Good Luck.
