BES12 was a great MDM platform. UEM MDM is still based on the BES12 model. What BES12 was lacking was good container solution for iOS. BlackBerry purchased Good Technology basically for their Dynamics container solution and the market share Good had in the realm.

This was my memory as well. I didn't respond with similar thoughts at the time as it would be like complaining about the poor coffee on the Titanic.

Companies are integrated.... I guess that means that aspect of the business - operations will be more stabilized.

But the big thing... the integration of Cylance into all of BlackBerry's other products and the creation of new products, is still to come.

I believe, and I may be wrong, but the goal was to have it integrated with BlackBerry products within a year?

I might be confusing the Spark launch of products and services which I believe is scheduled for the fall.

Either way, please let some meaningful growth occur and start beating expectations and their own forcasts! I can't take this stock price!

Hopefully Mark Wilson's idea of what "complete" and "focus on growth" are different than Chen's.

I'm still flabbergasted that he made those "turnaround complete" and "tipping point" comments. He could have just said nothing, no one would have missed what wasn't said, and he wouldn't have looked foolish.

Well not really.

I suspect when most of us hear "the integration is complete" we think in terms of go-to-market products and realizing some value from the purchase. What Mark is really saying is essentially email is working and the bank accounts are changed over so the funds now flow to Blackberry.

After managing through this several times I can tell you it's a task well out of the way and sheer relief when completed. As a shareholder, it's a really minor event that generates no revenues and creates little if any shareholder value.

I got the impression that Mark seemed to be "finished" with his task and quite a bit relaxed. As a shareholder I would have prefered him to acknowledge the larger tasks still ahead and how Blackberry/Cylance is excited at the prospect of dealing with the many difficult challenges and dedicated make our product a success !

A little enthusiasm would be nice to see.....

While I don't have a position in SPHS (thankfully now, frustratingly 1.5 years ago), it is a handy reminder that I spend too much time looking at the dumpster fire that is currently BB. Regardless, it's a useful indication how quickly fortunes can change.

To that end I hadn't checked EYPT which I have a smallish position in in more than a month, only to be pleasantly surprised that in less than 3 weeks, it's jumped by over 60%($1) from a hair below where I bought it, to 2.60.

It doesn't make up for what I'm underwater in BB, but nice to see that change comes, and can come quick. Happened with BB in winter 12/13 almost tripling in 6 months, Sept-Dec '15 saw a 50% run, spring '17 more than doubling in 9 months, and to a lesser extent early this year with a 50%+ run in a few months, then of course on the other side the current 50% haircut we witnessed inside 6 months. Many of these things were not predicated by any huge game-changing news, so as they say, this too shall pass.

This seems to be saying the the much anticipated Cylance product integration has hit UEM. I wonder if this is part of the SPARK suite or is that still coming ? Once here, will SPARK displace this product with something else ?

In anycase, let's hope this will give the ESS division a shot in the arm and improve their revenues.
