And for those with an interest in Cyber Security, remain careful out there:

The 44-year-old executive then sold all of his stock, resulting in payment of over $950,000. According to US prosecutors, the insider trading benefited Ying to the tune of over $480,000 and circumvented a loss of over $117,000.

I think most on CrackBerry would love to know what's going on with IP and Devices - Optiemus, TCL, Bullit Group, NTD and Punket. But the reality is that's not even a blip on BlackBerry's bottom line at this point. Is that expected to grow or is it going away?

Would love to know about the prospects for the "messaging" lawsuits. But I doubt even they really know... what that's going to mean. Could be HUGE, or a dud.

Different team, knowing that relations between Nissan and Renault have in the last year been quite tumultuous:

The agreement between the three companies will last for an "initial period", with the companies not providing further details on the duration of the partnership.

It happens time and time again and without rationale or logic. Which is why I go with the RSI. It works time and time again. No guarantees that it will continue.

A good sign for BB is the report from Faucette. If you're familiar with his take on BB you have to take note of his latest. From Faucette it is extraordinarily positive from a guy who doesn't hesitate to draw attention to the negatives. Maybe Chen's verbal upside to Faucette's head yesterday had a good result.

    My sentiment too.
Chen was wise to put this guy in directly under the spotlight and probably should have done that earlier. Perhaps that was what he has been grinding towards - recognition.
That being said, now he will be closely watched and thus may behave...
Or, perhaps he is starting to warm up to this BlackBerry thing....

Would be nice to hear a statement from M8 regarding all this. I have not been around here much, but looking through the last pile of messages I have not seen him post. Is he away for some reason?

If BlackBerry would have taken their $1.4 billion and bought CRWD stock at their IPO price of $34.50 on June 12th, it would be worth over $2.83 billion today.

Instead our Market Cap is $937 million lower than it was the day before the Cylance acquisition announcement on 11/16/18, all else being equal, essentially turning that $1.4 billion into $463 million today.

    Ha, absolutely ludicrous.

It's become difficult to be surprised with this stock price.

I think it's normal process to try and fight this... And I'm sure they'd like to get the Class Action part of this voided, as it's wouldn't be worth it for all the employees to file individually (not worth it too the lawyers anyway).

Interesting how Blackberry can issue a press release and it is only picked up by Yahoo, but when MarketWatch puts out an article, it gets spread around and referenced everywhere for days.

Because BlackBerry issues so many press releases for products and services that does not contribute to revenue. They need to do a few things well instead of trying to do so many things poorly.

Yeah at some point the market figures out it's just some kid crying wolf over and over. At this point they need to see the wolf... to believe.

Blackberry must execute better and talk less so silence is a good step.

Egelman informed Google and the FTC about these issues in September and Google says they are addressed in Android Q, due out later this year.
Devices that ship with or are upgraded to Android Q will offer users better controls to prevent some of the techniques detailed by the researchers.
