Media stories seem very positive on Jarvis so far. No longer the " is BlackBerry still in business...?" type stories.

Aware that Motley Fool has poor reputation of click bait, but at times mentions interesting numbers:

Why BlackBerry Stock Should Be on Your Buy List in 2018 - Nasdaq.com
BlackBerry (NYSE: BB) investors were a happy lot last year as the stock delivered impressive gains of about 62%, beating the NASDAQ 100 Technology Sector Index by a wide margin. For instance, BlackBerry's QNX software platform was selected by 10 automotive suppliers in the last-reported quarter. The software specialist now counts the top three automotive component suppliers -- Bosch, Denso , and Magna -- as its clients. This follows BlackBerry's recently announced partnership with Qualcomm for the use of the QNX software platform in the chipmaker's hardware offerings that will be used in vehicle cockpit equipment. According to one estimate, sales of automotive cockpit electronics products could jump from $34 billion in 2016 to just over $66 billion in 2024. BlackBerry is also going after the commercial trucking fleet market through its Radar asset tracking solution. The company is aggressively lining up sales partners to boost the reach of its fleet tracking solutions, and it made a big breakthrough last month by tying up with Pana-Pacific, which will distribute BlackBerry Radar to more than 2,800 heavy truck dealerships across North America. BlackBerry's security expertise has made it the go-to choice for government departments, both in the U.S. and abroad.
BlackBerry forecasts that its business model switch will enhance its total addressable market from just $4.9 billion in 2015 to almost $18 billion next year.

Well look who we have here! So glad to hear you are holding onto shares in this great company! We miss your TA work! We lost CJ to a giant sailboat somewhere in the Pacific, we hear from him rarely now.

BlackBerry has come a long way from the days when we thought it might not survive, today, it is a core holding for most accounts. If you get a chance, dust off some of those amazing TA skills of yours and show the newbies how things look for BB going forward. Man, I'm so glad that you held on here and are able to take part in the revival of BB.

Still scratching my head about that presentation slide from QNX at CES 2018 that mentions Apple as a QNX customer:

I am curious, because I never read any PR about that relationship? Could anybody with contacts to the management verifiy this?

    Thanks, Morgan.

After years of struggling based on fundamentals, market perception, and TA, BB has gotten out of it with a nice ascending triangle to confirm the uptrend. John Chen, Jarvis, IOT, quarterly performance, and many other things do contribute a lot to this. Based on the range of the ascending triangle, it looks like $16 is a good price target as the next top as we see how the next pattern forms. The break out of the ascending triangle also shows that we filled the gap from that massive $3 drop in 2013; finally. Support is available around $12 as the low point.

I would like to see $16 to $18 this year. And as more development and appreciation on IOT, QNX, Jarvis become more concrete, the market would give us way higher than $18. The market of self-driving cars has not reached full realization yet, and this is important for Blackberry.

It really helps that the media isn't talking about Blackberry as a phone company anymore. There is much more market appreciation (higher SP, I mean) to realize with Blackberry as a software company. I think, we would see it within the next 48 months. By then, the SP should be higher than $18. Man, I am tempted to accumulate more.

Is Now the Time to Double Down on Self-Driving Cars?

Following the recent Consumer Electronics Show (CES) which highlighted a wide array of new technologies for early adopters and early investors alike to take note of, perhaps the most widely talked about trend at the show was the rise of the self-driving car and the technology produced for said vehicles by companies all around the world.

Autonomous vehicles have become the focal point of many large technology companies, including Canadian software developer BlackBerry Inc. (TSX:BB)(NYSE:BBRY). BlackBerry has taken what can be described as perhaps one of the most aggressive positions as a "pivot" from its traditional business model, moving toward developing the world’s leading secure software platform for autonomous vehicles in a market where dozens of new companies seem to be popping out of everywhere on a monthly basis.

BlackBerry’s QNX software has been touted as the future of the company, with an investment of more than $100 million U.S. more than a year ago spurring a company-wide focus on where the company’s long-term growth will come from. While nothing is certain in the tech world, the influx of capital into this sector has truly been remarkable (an estimated $4 billion of venture capital was pumped into this sector last year alone, an astounding sum given the relative cold shoulder autonomous vehicle-related companies have received prior to this past year).

With BlackBerry rising on the back of a technological wave of innovation, momentum investors should get ready for another strong year from the Canadian tech giant.
