This is some scary stuff. Does anyone know of a top notch software / security company with the experience and know-how to combat / protect against these threats? Anyone?? I'm expecting to hear an announcement any day now stating BlackBerry's partnership with US gov't to work together to bolster its cybersecurity.

Almost as scary as our new TA bottom of.... $9.24. I think I can live with that number. Now lets finish that climb back to black on the day! If only Morgan would post another one of those fantastic charts to show us we are on our way...

Okay, let me give you a simple chart that tells you what might be happening:

The BBRY Café. [Formerly: I support BBRY and I buy shares!]-ice_screenshot_20170512-150505.png

In the above chart, the two green lines represent how we have absorbed the news of the $ 974 MM plus, cash settlement. Prior to the settlement, Chen gave us some great news on BB regarding better than expected earnings and his guidance was very positive for FY18 too. We became a $ 8.00 stock after Q4 and I would like to think "worth" something more than that. Then came the news of the almost $ 1.90/shr in cash and we added that on. And so despite the nice gain in BBRY, we really aren't that high relative to just the Q4 report and guidance. I would argue that $ 9.35 - $ 1.90 = $ 7.45/shr is not much of a rally for BBRY considering that we are going to be growing revenues, cash-flow positive, our first + EPS, and, SAF is behind us now with HW profitable. I would suggest that the stock is still cheap at the $ 7.45/shr equivalent today and has plenty of upside left in it.

Back to the chart, the stock dropped back on really light volume to it's zero standard deviation level on the Bollinger Bands (currently $ 9.23/shr), it is well under RSI=70 now, and it is cheap when you add in $ 990 MM in cash to Q4 numbers. I think we will go higher next week and make another 22 month high before being RSI over-bought yet again. At the close today, we are no longer over-bought in anyway. I say we are going up from here! Announcements about added Security deals from a favorite experienced company would be welcomed:

“There will be lessons to learn from what appears to be the biggest criminal cyber-attack in history,” More than 75,000 computers in 99 countries were compromised, with a heavy concentration of infections in Russia and Ukraine, according to Dutch security company Avast Software BV. Some security expects calculate that ransomware may bring in as much as $1 billion a year in revenue for the attackers.

New 22 month high! That didn't take long. Volume is very strong today. We are once again overbought (RSI = 73). We are right at the upper bollinger band too. Next stop --> $10.

[QUOTE=Corbu;12877710]Google Android to power new Audi and Volvo cars

It'll be interesting to see if this runs on the QNX hypervisor, or if it's Android through and through. the former seems the better option, from a technical perspective. that said, I'm no expert.

Audi has been using more advanced infotainment options from BB, namely the visual cockpit. this move is a little troubling, in one sense.

First Lyft + Waymo, and now this. Google is really busy these days.

On May 15, Bell Canada announced the illegal access of customer information by an anonymous hacker. Bell’s investigation determined that the information contained a total of approximately 1.9 million active email addresses and approximately 1,700 names and active phone numbers.

There is no indication that any financial, password or other sensitive personal information was accessed.

This just in from Bell. It is not tied to any current ransom-ware.
