That seems like a lofty expectation to me though -- Do they really anticipate being able to move 300k devices per month? Seems like over capacity

I read this as "capacity" only. No guarantee that they will actually produce that many, but an indication of how much they can potentially make IF demand is that high. I'm sure they will gauge demand and throttle production accordingly.

My thoughts exactly. But when you combine this article with the one Corbu posted yesterday (http://www.wsj.com/articles/blackber...in-1476614309: competitors disabling 4G connectivity on their smartphones in Indonesia because of import quota) I thought there could be a real opportunity..

Aaaaah -- yes, I didn't consider the other half of that. But that does make sense if they expect to be able sell more. Apparently the Indonesian company believes it too, otherwise why would they subject themselves to those fixed costs....guess we'll have to wait and see.

Sorry for being cynical though, but if they couldn't or could barely move that volume in an entire quarter in ALL of their markets, I wonder how they expect to do it in the Indonesian market, primarily.

Sorry, been busy at work and wasn't able to clearly read and interpret this -- so it seems as if competitors are removing 4G capabilities due to import quotas -- I see the potential then since I assume BBRY phones will not be subject to this restriction. You've got to love Barriers to Trade (being facetious)! But hopefully this pans out of BBRY!

Haha I agree with that in the short term, but in the long term, if they're not profitable, we may end up losing what could be a valuable partner...

MOBL should die. msft will push their light weight option and have no intention of getting deeper into the space. There are better offerings and buy out candidates. No reason for the increase in SP imo as I dont see a takeover.

It looks like this is the sell off I was waiting for before the election. Ibb down about 12% now, I didn't expect halo to break down to 200ma so quick otherwise I wouldn't have closed my short early, win is a win I guess. I started long positions in halo @10.51 acad @26.24.....not as low as I'd like but I expect the sector to rebound soon. Glta!!

Spreading the Word About BlackBerry?s Software Pivot | Inside BlackBerry
    By Marty Beard

What do today’s connected cars, life-critical drug infusion pumps, utility systems that deliver the water you drink and shower with, and emergency communication systems have in common? They are all powered and protected by BlackBerry software.

BlackBerry has a long history dedicated to protecting and connecting the world. With our software pivot, we are now better-oriented for the task than ever.

To put it in the words of CEO John Chen, BlackBerry is no longer just about the smartphone – we are the smart in the phone. We’re about meeting the unique security and usability needs of each and every business or organization and each of its workers. We’re about keeping everything from regulated information to intellectual property to client data safe from prying eyes.

Because so many of our clients put such critical information in our hands, trust means everything in the world to them – as it does to us. That’s why we received the highest score in all six categories of Gartner’s High Security Mobility Management Report. It’s why our software and services revenue nearly doubled in Q2 2017, and why we hold more than 70 security certifications – more than any other mobile provider.

And so, with all this in mind, we are amplifying our efforts to let the world know about the new BlackBerry. Starting today there will be print and digital online ads in two of the leading English-language business publications in the world highlighting our top mobile management rankings with Gartner. We’re beginning today with the front page with the Wall Street Journal, which has more than 20 million monthly readers, and then moving to the Financial Times, which gets more than 2.2 million readers every day.

These ads are only the first step. Moving forward, we will also be turning to you, our customers. What incredible things have we accomplished together? How have we helped you deliver better outcomes and secure every corner of your enterprise?

And perhaps most importantly, what is it about the BlackBerry brand that inspires you to trust us?

Mobility has evolved beyond smartphones and tablets, and we’re spreading the word that BlackBerry is at the forefront of that evolution. So keep an ear to the ground. You’ll be hearing about us a lot more in the very near future.

Sorry bud....I actually don't follow XOMA on a regular basis and not too attuned to their pipeline but I did read that they just did a reverse split to regain $1 to maintain listing with nasdaq, other than that Mr. Morgan might be able to shed more light on this and other bios
