Numbers look good to me. Only losing 20M on hardware? And only on 500K units. But looks like they paid asset loss to make hardware look better than it really is...? Let's see them get some blackberry hub on android Rev for other devices...

More likely BB10 devcies held their sales or might have even increased, while the PRIV might have decreased its numbers. The LEAP sells for $200... what is the ASP on it - $125, $150. Passport selling for $350 now... even it's ASP is going to drag down the average.

Priv was crazy priced and still is. Niche market for keybords is still there and they will continue buying BlackBerry as long as they exist. There is not enough market to keep bb10 relevant for grand public. Well priced android phones with hw keyboard will sell just fine.

Better off for sure. The Priv must be hard to sell next to an iphone 6 bearing the price tag is equivalent. Customers need to rediscover the brand and they need incitatives to make the switch.

... if it helps your statement, I have a large Healthcare client who recently bought a truck load of Leaps for all the staff. I suspect at pretty low margin.

Sorry but the reason for this is not a huge jump in software sales but rather a huge decline in hardware over the years. I wish this wasn't the case but it is. I just hope if the next two rumored devices fail that they will finally wake up and smell the coffee.
