Officially launched in the U.S and the U.K. Friday, industry websites have been beaming out favorable reviews for the new Blackberry Priv. Thenextweb.com called it probably one of the best Android phones it has ever used and the U.K.'s Daily Mirror newspaper described it as "the comeback that gadget fans have been waiting for." Technology website AndroidCentral stated that "BlackBerry can make one hell of an Android phone."

The Basher reviews are in for a big surprise here and it would be embarrassing if this phone sells ok.

Sorry everyone, I have been MIA since 9:00 AM yesterday but I will read every message and get back to you this weekend, today, it's BlackBerry day so I won't discuss anything else. There is a large sell position at $ 8.00/shr so we backed off that. It will take a bit of time to break through that number but the good news is that we have nothing to slow us down until the 200-dma at $ 8.72/shr, and above that weak resistance at $ 9.00/shr. Wonderful day on the best buy volume we have seen in a very long time so enjoy it.

PS. There goes that Bollinger Band problem again, we are way above it now after just barely dropping back into it yesterday. Very bullish trading indeed!

Gizmodo UK was a much more balance review than its US counterpart. Strange how that happens.

BlackBerry Priv wins plaudits, but price tag questioned

Still, if the Priv does well, analysts note the device could be a game changer for the Waterloo, Ontario-based company.

"If the Priv – with its premium price of about $700 – is a hit, it could drive meaningful growth for the company. Moreover, the smartphone industry tends to be largely perception-driven, and a single hit flagship product can bolster a company's brand image and create a halo effect around its entire product line," said research firm Trefis, in a note on Thursday.
I guess Reuters would never be able to come out with a 100% positive headline, when it comes to BB...

Who ever questions Apple's prices, btw?

As for Gizmodo, guys, pls spend 5 minutes researching the author of that review and his colleagues and you will soon realize that it is a complete joke of a site for adolescents. Not exactly BB's market.

I watched the overhang at $ 8.00/shr get taken out by one trade. Now they are sitting there collecting shares. I don't see any resistance until the 200-dma at $ 8.72/shr. Fun to watch and we deserve this! We are back to June closing levels now having made up all of the losses that far back.
