I can feel a lot of things moving.
I believe we're setting our expectations re:delivery too high and then already expect finalized 'everything' to pop instantly in front of our eyes.
There are ads (bb10 ) I've never seen before. People so busy at work they can't even answer my emails (and/or don't want to give any info, even by mistake).
Give time to time. (I'm in for early Dec. BTW)

Fair enough. I think they and we were hoping to get some sales in November before the quarter ends. Obviously, we're speculating a lot here, but this is at least in my view the most important near-term material event for BBRY.

    BlackBerry Priv Hits The PTCRB

New of the Priv is on a non-stop roll.

We've learned that the STV100-1 and -3 have popped up on the PTCRB - and this means folks will finally get a better look at what network bands will be supported by the device(s). While this isn't the FCC listing that you're after, the PTCRB is just as good of an indication. For those of you hoping to finally see some Verizon love, let's see what we'll be getting:

    Priv STV100-1

    E-ULTRA FDD: Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 12, 17, 20, 29 & 30
    GSM: 850, 900, 1800 & 1900
    NO UMTS FDD

    Priv STV100-3

    E-ULTRA CA: CA_4A-17A, CA_2A-17A, CA_4A-12A, CA_4A-7A, CA_4A-29A, CA_2A-29A & CA_4A-5A
    E-ULTRA FDD: Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 17, 20, 20, 25, 28, 29 & 30
    GSM: 850, 900, 1800 & 1900
UMTS FDD: I, II, IV, V & VIII

You can check to see if your network is compatible by searching for your network operators bands in Google. As an example, try searching T-Mobile LTE Bands.

IMHO, this info (and credit to OP) should be on the front page of Crackberry so other users can see it - I happen to stumble on this entry while looking to see what the BBRY stock conversation was going... I would think that Usman, Bla1ze and Thurask could shed more light on what carriers in North America will be carrying the model based on this information.

    Thanks Corbu

Does the E-ultra refers to LTE-A?

I am trying not to get pissed off with rumors. But still BlackBerry has a track record of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

    - Bad name (confirmed) but not very big deal. Nicer name would have contributed marginally more to the overall marketing. And every margin counts in BlackBerry's case. But still, we are talking about marginal improvement. So, I swallow this.

    - Very high pricing - $700 to $1300 - are figures that are being rumored. I hope this rumor doesn't turn true.

    - Poor inventory with 5 months restock time - rumor that I hope doesn't turn true. They had poor stock with Passport too and restocking of Passport took a long time too. I hope with Priv it's not like that.

    Why perpetuate these rumours?

The reality will come soon enough, no?

Ouch. Only a $400 subsidy? But Bell is usually $50 higher on contract for high end phones than the comp....

    iPhone 6s is a $515 subsidy. ($915 -> $398)

Ouch SINO. I eyed it for an entire week, waiting for the right time to enter, luckily never fount it.

VRX is a safer bet I think. Even if true, I think the negative impact is already priced in.

    On Bell - Galaxy S6 Edge is $949 -> $359.

I certainly hope Bell isn't screwing the subsidies on the Priv vs these competitors. Or maybe Bell's MSRP hasn't gone down, but their purchase price from Samsung/Apple has gone down so the subsidy is about the same....?

    Price is cheaper than Iphones.
Price is in line with Samsung products. $50 more than samsung, after subsidy is fair to ask for IMO. SD card, Larger Battery alone should be worth more.

If retail is $799 this should be no more than $349 on contract. That would at least put the Priv on par contract pricing with iPhone 6s, Galaxy S6 edge and Note 5 which are more money retail, thus they would have a higher subsidy.

I am sure that BlackBerry doesn't have the bargain power of samsung and apple with suppliers. Plus hot new product. $50 is justified. Expandable memory makes cheaper than both of them.
    It is 32gb phone.

Pricing on the Priv seems fair for what you get vs the other big players. My concern is the others have built up their reputation. BlackBerry still has to do that before people will buy at those prices. I hope I'm wrong. My wife recently purchased her first Android phone the S5. She chose it over the newer S6 because of price, removable battery, and expandable memory. The memory card feature on the Priv is a huge bonus but they need to be priced slightly under the others to get the sales.

I'm not too upset with $800 CAD as the outright price. In fact, I'll be quite pleased if it's released in the US at $600 outright.

Aren't the pricing for the Priv readily available? It's 579.99 and has been advertised at that price for over a week now...I'm confused about the confusion there.

People waiting for a Priv do really want a BlackBerry keyboard, they won't be offset by a 50$ prime over a S6+ Edge.

Another Positive Article on the Priv...

The many ways BlackBerry beefs up Android security on the Priv | ZDNet

    I like the last paragraph.

BlackBerry is playing the Priv smart: Even the name alludes to "privacy." The more we hear about Google Android security scares, the more I think BlackBerry's security heritage and approach could bring a surprising number of handset sales, both to consumers and enterprise workers alike.
