Brother!!! What do you expect from THLD? Price target?
I didn't mention a couple of other stocks, SPHS and THLD for no particular reason, but I would hold them both for at least 6 months so that they can get a couple of quarters of data out here. I see THLD at $ 6.00 plus and and then we wait for news, SPHS should pop above $ 1.00 again but there is no hurry. It appears they aren't in a hurry to alter their study to reduce costs so it has limited upside until the 3rd quarter of this year.

I'm now turning my attention towards BBRY again in a big way, I have always held a strong position in it but now I want to buy a monster block and write calls against that position on bounces and breakouts. I'll post my trades when I have them completed, likely to be a big block of naked put writing starting as early as next week to go along with my shares additions last week. Love this market.

As for HALO, (they had killer earnings) there are 20 MM shares short so the stock can only go up from here. In addition, they meet with the FDA over the next two weeks and if there is a chance of another fast track, the stock will soar and shorts know that to be the case. A bad time to be short this stock. As for AH, some partial share blocks going through at a crazy premium so far, that's all I can see.

BlackBerry wins dismissal of U.S. lawsuit over BlackBerry 10

5:17 pm -- March 13 (Reuters) - BlackBerry Ltd on Friday won the dismissal of a U.S. lawsuit accusing it of fraudulently inflating its stock price by painting a misleadingly upbeat picture of the prospects for its BlackBerry 10 smartphone line.

U.S. District Judge Thomas Griesa in Manhattan said the plaintiffs failed to plausibly allege that BlackBerry and top officials made material misrepresentations or omissions, or intended to defraud them. (Reporting by Jonathan Stempel in New York; Editing by Lisa Shumaker)

Well I sold out of my HALO. Didn't have many shares. Took my $200 profit and now I'm all back in on [email protected].

Question about SPHS are they a pink sheet company? I had the money I used to buy BB and first tried to get 7,000 shares @.62 but when stock hit that my trade never went through. Only times I've seen that is when the company is on pink/grey sheets. It's then up to the company to sell it to me

You are in fact right, Munx is a little biased here, thinks short interest can only go up without considering the current market at that time, or call/put options etc.. He needs to think outside the box. It is literally impossible to claim that short interest should have gone up therefore they didn't hedge. That's silly talk.
Yes. The Nasdaq short interest numbers don't even count those who short the TSX shares (BB.TO) do they? Last I checked, the party in question is Canadian, as are most of the convert holders. Fairfax, for example doesn't like dealing with US exchanges (because of Wall Street rigging I suspect), and doesn't even list its own shares there.

    [QUOTE=sidhuk;11463945]can you spot a Passport?

The man with the Passport is the ceo of the company and had this to say about BlackBerry:

Are You Cool Enough to Use a Blackberry?

It takes a confident person to buck the trend and keep sporting a Blackberry device these days. Excluding those who are issued one by their job or who are blissfully unaware of the judgment the rest of the world casts on them for using a Blackberry, there are those who decide who opt in on their own. For those of us who actually make a conscious decision to purchase and continue to utilize a Blackberry, the inner self confidence more than that, self-assuredness, needs to be sky high.

It would be wrong to say that I dont care what people think or what people think about me. But it is fortunate that I am one of those people who considers themselves a trendsetter ah, can you believe that? A trendsetter using a Blackberry. Is it possible? Am I by definition not a trendsetter because I use a Blackberry?

Does it even matter if I explain why I use a Blackberry? Anyway, if everyone you know uses an iPhone or a Samsung, thats just following along with the crowd in whats becoming a cult-like manner. A serious argument could be made that these other devices are so popular that they should be uncool and the old school Blackberry should be ripe for a resurgence.

It all comes down to this: typing emails. The work that I do requires a lot of reading and writing emails. On my Blackberry I can type without typos, I can easily edit, I can write very quickly, I can do all the things I need to do. The highest priority for my phone is work related emails. Next is making a call when absolutely necessary. Possibly text messages with friends. Everything else is purely optional, recreational, or even rather a distraction.

I know that there are others of you out there like me. Many of them, everywhere. I have talked with you, commiserated with you I have even seen many of you drop off to the other side and just accept that youll do less work from your phone. Still proud Blackberry users, and secretly pining Blackberry abandoners, start a movement.

Blackberry in hand, take the party to the hotel lobby and spray champagne till they dont even want to throw you out anymore, be kind to animals and children, go on a first date that ends in a different city than it started, eat fair trade food products, rock out your own bespoke clothing or whatever you think is cool. Do it with a Blackberry and perfectly crafted emails, and be proud.

I'm just getting up to speed on that information about the fix now.
The articles made me cringe a bit by making it sound like it was going to be a while before BlackBerry had a fix.
    Nice!

Do we have an idea of how many BB10 devices had been sold through since January 2013, prior to this quarter?

Although it might not be enough to stem the hardware revenue decline, it should at least provide us with a base of the total volume that BlackBerry should be able to maintain throughout the next few quarters/years. It has been a little over 2 years since the Z10 launched, which really isn't that long ago. But, most people do tend to upgrade devices every 2 years.

Now, I'm not expecting this number to be that great; and a lot depends on trends/prices. I don't expect every BB10 user to automatically upgrade to the next BB10 device, but I do believe that chances are high this will happen.

So: how many of the BlackBerry faithful have purchased a BB10 device over the past 2 years?

So the Cebit device seems to be a tablet. The Samsungs Galaxy Tab S 10.5. Secusmart signs for the krypto-software and INFOSTRUCTURE, Samsung for hardware and Knox, IBM for secure the single apps (whatever that means).
They calculate to sell a few thousand devices this year, 5-digits next year.
