Sony Attack Fuels Earnings Blowout for CyberArk - Bloomberg Business

The corporate security scare is finally happening. If Blackberry properly capitalized off the Sony hack scandal, the results should show soon!

I got this one with my Z10 too. What makes it more "enviable" is that it's taken in Victoria in mid January.

I'm wondering how the Chinese government feels about having its billion citizens mostly using the Android data collection OS(or fork).

If they're in the spying business too then dirt cheap Android for consumers and Blackberry for government would work very well there. They need to make sure the consumers learn how awful Blackberries are beforehand. Poor cameras, no apps, random reboots, battery pulls..

No, just a hobbyist.. I think its more I live in a place that's provides a lot of beautiful scenes to take pics of... The Q pics were taken during a stop from bike riding along the seawall, False Creek, Vancouver. The passport photo was taken a few months ago on Burnaby Mountain. Neither are editted, only using HDR function to balance exposure for the backlighting.

So there's a thread in the Passport forums where a BlackBerry employee is giving out coupon codes for shop.blackberry.com. So if it's still going, you can an extra $100USD/$125CAD off a Passport. This deal stacks with the sale too.

PureFunds ISE Cyber Security ETF (HACK)

Strange to see BlackBerry missing from this fund. I guess BlackBerry would be better suited for an ETF titled UNHACKABLE.

BSNL, MTNL may scrap BlackBerry services over losses

State-run telecom operators BSNL and MTNL may* scrap their BlackBerry services as they are incurring losses and are in no position to spend on the software to provide interception services to intelligence agencies.

Unlike private telcos, the two do not have a high subscriber base, particularly of enterprises using BlackBerry services, so stoppage is not going to be of major inconvenience to anyone.

Naresh Kumar Gupta, director (consumer fixed access) at BSNL, told FE: We are trying to see if Blackberry mobile services makes a business case for us. We are weighing the pros and cons. A service may not be making a business case for us but we can continue to offer such services despite losses given the brand it carries. But there is definitely a loss. Whether the loss outweighs the brand (BlackBerry) or whether the brand outweighs losses, that is being examined.

According to Gupta there are around 15,000 subscribers using BlackBerry services.

Though PK Purwar, the chairman and managing director of MTNL, expressed his ignorance in this regard, a senior MTNL official said the matter related to Blackberry operations is being discussed. There are close to 7,000 BlackBerry subscribers. We have few BlackBerry users.

There are overhead costs which comes with this services. We are working it out, said Purwar.

BSNL loses around Rs 15 crore every year on BlackBerry services.

I don't know what kind of infrastructure is required for BB10, but this sounds like BIS. If so, would this not be a good thing? Sacrifice 15,000 users on BBOS 7 in hopes they upgrade to BB10. If they don't then at least it gets the stigma of monitoring off BlackBerry's back. Let the fools think there is no monitoring on iOS and Android.
