No case for me, the default screen protection that the 9900 would come with and use the OEM supplied pouch, I like the hoster feature sometimes and like how it puts my 9780 to standy when it gets in and out when it gets out,

So no case just a pouch

Blackberry HardShell with a Seidio Holster. If I can get both to fit if not then OEM holster with HardShell.

I never case my BBs. I find that the oem pouch (not the belt one-- the simple pouch) is best for carrying in my back pocket... Or a purse for our female BB friends.
I think you can only truly appreciate a BB when it's naked (IMHO) so carrying it in a pouch protects it and when it's time to use it, it's the way it was intended.
As for screen protectors, I only protect by plastic screened BBs. Never screen protected my Torch (glass) and never had as much as a nic on it. The 9900 IS in fact glass so no screen protector

So I was thinking today at the beach wether or not I'll get a case for my 9900. My Bolds are usually cased (900/9700/9780) but I do sometimes go out without the case.

Not sure about this one, I think it's too beautiful to have a case for it, what do you guys think?
HELLO...its a PHONE not a fashion statement. Ring ring....who is it??? Hmmm beach-sand-water...PROTECT THAT BABY THE BEST WAY YOU CAN!!!

Holster...it works with my working uniform, plus I will still have my 9700 holster, which I hope will fit.

    Otherwise, just a gel skin...

I honestly did not think this thread would reap this many replies, but thanks for sharing. I think I am going to go with screen protector only.

This phone is too beautiful to cover that beauty.

Oh and a side note, I may also get a charging pod this time. I think my new BlackBerry baby would need one.

Oooo.....that would be interesting.....almost like nekkid (read that, Greg?!?!?) but with protection.

Care to share which one? I'd be curious. Cheers!

I am going to get the holster to carry it outdoors:
Genuine RIM BlackBerry Leather Swivel Holster for BB: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics

Protect the screen and put the Otterbox Impact Case on for home use:
Otterbox RBB1 Impact Case for BB9900 - Black: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics

I like it that you can put the Impact case off and on easy.
And YES I do drop my stuff from time to time, high risk because I carry my bb everywhere, and I mean everywhere in- and out-doors
But the 9900 is too beautiful to put in a bulk case...

Probably no case. I see business guys on a daily basis and those leather pouches just look silly.
Leather side pouch on the belt, that would be me. Tried them all and that works best for me. OEM always seems best and with the smaller battery the sleep should help if it's a problem. I haven't seen a good OEM yet though.

I will definately put an Otterbox on it but I don't know which model. My Tour has an Otterbox defender on it and I am sure it wouldn't have lasted the past 2 years if it didn't. I am debating on the defender or commuter. Has anybody seen both in person?

Which case is the best for the beach. I am getting to the point that I feel that I should carry my phone more.

I usually leave it back at the house but if something comes up I would like the ability to at least look at my phone.

I would like to protect from sand and what not.

For most of my phones life I want to go with nothing though. Colorware maybe.

Although I have had both my 9630 and 9650 under the fortress that is the Otterbox case, I'll be going on the wild side with this phone and leaving it naked. Just too sexy to cover up.
