I have one, it does work well. It says it will be at its best after 3 or 4 cycles, but I haven't drained it twice yet.

Will it use the same battery cover? or is it like the storm where they give you a modded battery cover?

For this modest gain it sounds like it is the same size as the original. I tried one with my 9000 and saw little to no difference.

You will find the 9700 get VERY good battery performance on the OEM battery. I pull my phone out of the charger at 3:30 am every morning and deal with about 60 emails a day and do some where in the range of 2000 minutes a month on the phone and come home with 60 to 70% left when I drop in back in the charging pod at about 9pm.

I even forgot to charge my 9700 one night and thought I would just do it a work but time got by and it was never charged on he 2nd day until around 9pm. It still had 30% remaining! So unless you got $50 to burn, just wait and see how your 9700 does first!

Agreed, the battery life so far on my 9700 has be fantastic. And unlike the 9000 the battery doesn't heat up.
