My PC went to the shop. I hope soon I can do the upgrade myself. What size or type of a USB cable do I need to upgrade the OS software? Also, are there any tutorials to perform this task?

http://forums.crackberry.com/f52/spr...nguage-146679/ will show you how to upgrade. the cable is the data cable that should have come with your device. if not, you can get them on amazon or ebay on the cheap. its a mini usb connector.

I have to call Sprint tomorrow. I was going to get a price. They closed at 2000 hours. We are 3 hours ahead of you. 2000 hours=8pm.

i'm just yankin your chain.. i grew up in a house where my dad couldnt figure out how to change the vcr from military time to a 12 hour clock.. i think its easier with a 24 hr clock. less confusion, and we could completely take am pm out of the english language.

Sprint charges about $20 for the BB data cable. That's a little to much, right?

Sounds like it to me. Radio Shack, Best Buy or even Target should have them cheaper.

Seems pretty high, check a few of the stores wnm suggested. Online they are even cheaper (amazon.com) if you can wait for it to be shipped

I don't have a credit or debit card to order online. I called a Radio Shack. They suggest going to my carrier store because they have the exact cable. I have Sprint.

Any USB to Mini-USB cable will work. I have used the one that came with my digital cam. It doesn't have to BB branded.
