Every time I've dropped a phone in the past, a chunk of the plastic has come off or it's ended up really scraped. Not pretty. But I don't want to engulf my slim pearl in a huge case. So what kind of case is slim but durable, or at the very least, will protect my pearl from harm? I can't get away with only a skin, can I? I was eyeing the Seidio Super Slim Crystal Case but I read a few negative reviews online...

I like the one sprint sells on their website. Rubberized with a clip that extends into a stand for viewing on your desktop. Pretty cool.

Tie a string around the BB, and wrap the other end around your wrist. Make sure that the length doesn't reach the floor! Only kidding, I have the Seidio Hybrid, like it a lot, although I haven't had the dropsy (yet)...........as they say it's not a matter of will it happen, just when, right? Check it out.

I use the BSE skin and a Speck clear hard case. I have dropped my curve several times and there was no damage.

Actually, I do wonder why the 8830, at least, does NOT have an attachment point for a wrist lanyard? I've actually hung one off one corner of the rubber skin of my otterbox (that's how I attach the gps puck to it). Clearly, if folks did not want a lanyard, they could skip it but for those who would appreciate the security it would be available.

i found this on ebay for under $20. it covers the screen and keys and leaves an opening to work the trackball.

If you drop your bb, I would suggest the following:

    1. case of aspirin
    2. case of beer

The rubber cases is what I have but it doesn't really protect the front. I bought invisibleshield for the screen. I don't drop my phone much
Maybe you might want those hard cases if you drop your phone a lot. Or even otterbox.
