I do not like mounts that use suction cups on windshields as they always evetually fail. Even my 400.00 Valentine1 fails about three times a year. I don't want to see my Bold fail to the floor of my truck one day.

That leaves a weighted mat like this.

or a cigarette lighter one like this

The weighted one uses the suction mount which I wonder about and the cigarette lighter one I can see rotating in the trucks cigarette lighter socket when hitting bumps in the road and not staying up right.

Anyone use these??? I wonder if I need to post this under the discussion tabs?

I would go for the one that you know you can put away when parking your car. Any evidence of a mount is an invitation to have your window smashed in by a thief hoping to score a GPS

They both remove instantly. Would only use on trips and such.

I have a friction based one for my garmin gps and have not had any sliding even on sudden stops. My car does have a very flat and wide dash however, I'm not sure how it would perform if the dash was not wide enough to let the contraption fully sit on a flat surface

i've actually been thinking about getting the one that goes in the cigarette lighter for my work car. i'd be getting a different holder though. same cigarette mount, but i want the one that just kinda "grips" the bold instead of being made for it. i should be getting my seidio case back at some point, and want to be able to use the holder for the bold with that on. the holder that you've llinked to i think is for the naked bold. if you get one, be sure to post up some pics and write a review!

Slingbox mobile. Right now she kinda holds it in her hands. Not good for more than a 15 min ride.

Does it work reasonably well? 3G speed usually degrades quite a bit when you are in motion...

I see no difference in wifi and 3G. My ATT home internet is at the max option uploading 512mb, the Slingbox says 256mb is the minimum and 1.5mb is the best. The 512kb upload that I am restricted to until ATT gets off it **** and increases speed looks the same on wifi at home on my Linksys G router or in 3G mode.

Nit sure about Edge yet, I haven't been out of 3G range yet.

This is by far the best thing I could have on this phone. I would carry my blackberry arounf even if it didn't have a phone in it now that I have Flycast, Moodio and Slingbox.

I use flycast and moodio on the gold course each time I play. Luckily my group all like the 80's music I play!
