The op is Seidio, he uses the same name on bbforums.

They made the oem sized battery for the 83XX's, it was very good.

Seidio, I'll take one when you have it ready. The 8130 needs more juice!

I wonder what sprint, BB, and seido conversations sound like when it comes to batteries??...... *Why don't we just make the "extended" battery now to go out with initial release of the BB's so no one will complain of battery life?!?!...*SMACK* You 1diot!!!, why would we do that when they'll pay 500$$ retail, and 250$$ upgrade for the BB with the ****ty battery, then realize it sucks donkey d1ck, and pay another 30-40 bucks for a better battery?!?!?.....then we'll make our partners that make cases happy cuz all those bosos will have to get new cases cuz of the bigger battery door.....its a win win situation!!!.....we cant lose!! $$$$$$$$

With all the stuff most of us have running (chat, email, etc...) and other intensive apps, the battery life is quite short. If I am normally using it throughout the day, my battery is almost dead by the end. I;ve even searched on an extended life battery before seeing this thread.

    I vote YES... "do it!"

They did this for the Treo 755 - it was the same size as OEM and offered 25% more battery life (I believe from memory). I think they even later revised it a bit more and it got 30% more battery life while still having OEM dimensions.

Battery development takes time... and the 8130 is still a new phone. I doubt you want to buy a battery that hasn't been fully tested and doesn't work properly, give them some time. If your need for more juice is that pressing, I'd suggest picking up a spare OEM.

actually, the reasoning behind not having a bigger stock battery probably comes from the fact that most cell carriers are tired of having to constantly replace people's batteries because they don't charge them properly, so they go for a battery that'll last an average user about 16 hours, and then need charged, since way too many people don't listen to, or use good charging practices and ruin their batteries by charging them all night every night.

that being said, gimmie an extended! I don't mind it being dead after work, but, I'd like to be able to make it till I'm ready to put the phone aside for the night.....
