That's how the BB know's it's in the holster... a small magnet in the holster triggers a sensor in the BB. The BB OEM case works the same way.

    Looking for a better holster.
I saw an Otterbox for the first time yesterday. HUGE! Now, if you are in construction, firefighter, marine mammal specialist, go with the Otterbox! 3 levels of protection, awesome, but huge. Seidio is slim and still has great protection. I was disappointed, it did not fit over my InvisibleShield, oh well. Just my .02, not worth that much, but there it is.

Accidentally left my Otterbox clad pearl in my outside bunker pocket on my pants after a medic run one day. Later on (about 1:30 am) we caught a full on house fire. It was HOT! Spent the next 3 hours knocking it down and then doing salvage and overhaul. I was up in the rafters at one point and I reached into my pocket for a tool...........and felt my phone....DOH!

Evidently the heat and steam didn't hurt it at all. Just had some soot and moisture on it. Very tough case indeed. I just got another one for my recently purchased Curve. I love it!

Exactly my point. Thanks for what you do! Seidio is lighter weight but nowhere near the overall protection, water, jackhammer, steam roller...you get my point.

    thanks for all the feedback.
    I'm going with Seidio.
I don't need protecttion from hydraulic fluid and house fires.
I just need something that will last and get me through days at the office and mild abuse from my son.
