Anyone know or have an idea when Seidio (or someone else) will release an OEM size extended battery for the 9930/9900?

I ordered this battery from Newegg...

    Newegg.com - GTMax 1600mAh Standard Lithium-Ion Battery for BlackBerry Bold 9930 / Montana

If it doesn't fit/work I'm out $9.99 so no big deal.

Seidio was contacted a few days ago, no plans yet. Prolly cause the housing would need to be modified as well.

I'd like to see this too. But what about the NFC antenna on the battery door? Something more like mophie juice pack case could work too.

All I want is a clip-in holster for a naked 9930. I never use screen protectors or cases...I just don't like them.

Can't seem to find the exact link, but for the newest cases from overseas, I usually check out the information there.

This is a very interesting find. May I make a request of your feedback when you receive the battery, please? Thanks in advance.

I'll post something when I get it. It shipped "standard shipping" by USPS so it'll probably be a week before it gets here. They pass it off on some "Shipping Partner" to get it across the country I've seen it before it takes forever.

For 10 bucks I took the chance too! I'm a fan of NewEgg as a company so I figured what the heck! I'll let you all know how it is. It appears to be the same size as the OEM so no special door will be required so it can still do NFC.

You're not buying from Newegg though, you're buying from "Bluemall". I hate these "secondary" companies you find on Newegg and Amazon selling stuff sometimes. Sure it's free shipping but it takes 2 weeks to a small freakin battery because they use 3rd party ground shipping to get it across the country then it goes to USPS. It shipped out on the 15th and I still don't have it. I'd pay the whopping $2 for USPS First Class mail and have it 3 days later.

It has to be a fake. Remember, you get what you pay for... the Seidio and Mugen extended ones they develop themselves sell for $45+ and up to $75 for the triple capacity they had for the 9000.

The research, development, and simple part content of an extended battery make something like that literally impossible to produce.

Subscribed though! Would love to hear how it turns out. I'm ALL EARS.

For those who bought it, definitely keep us posted as to whether it fits and how it performs compared to the 1230mah.

    Please note:
This battery does not work. About 2 mm too long, plus the tabs are on the wrong side of the battery.

I just tried mine, the connectors ended up being on the wrong side as well.

    Better luck.

    I just sent mine back.

    Hope this helps!

They raised the price too to $13.45. I posted a review saying it didn't fit...hope Newegg stops them from selling it.

I see someone selling Bold 9000/9700/9780 battery charger as 9900 charger. Battery does fit but it won't charge so don't buy it. I was thinking of having one fully charged at all times and swap it.

Yes, they have... but you get what you pay for. The Seidio 3500mAh for the Bold 9000 would allow it to last me from Thursday morning until Sunday night and still have 20% left. The battery was also $70.00.

Mugen makes extended top notch extended batteries. They had a 3200mAh for the 9700/9780 that lasted for 4-5 days too. I think theirs was $60 or $65.
