Here are the spec's listed on the chargers:

    Motorola VS Razr
    input: 100-240DV 50/60Hz
    output: 5.0V 550mA

    Blackberry 8300 Curve
    input: 100-200V 200mA 50-60Hz 11-17VA
    output: 5V 700mA

OK to charge the Curve with the old Motorola charger?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Just looking at the specs you are fine

    output: 5.0V 550mA vs output: 5V 700mA

Same Voltage out, only difference is the BB uses more amperage, so giving it less amps with the Motorola, will just mean it charges slower.

plus all of these devices have a max min tolerance whilst charging, and I am sure they all exceed the max min of the miniUSB standard

Haha, I didn't even think it would be a problem. Since I've used one of several old Motorola chargers several times now to charge my BB, I'm glad to hear it isn't problematic, and I haven't unknowingly caused my BB damage that'll come back to haunt me later!
