I just bought an otterbox defender case, as it has a built-in screen protector that isn't junk.

Problem is, I put it on and it was fine. Looked great, then I noticed there was a speck of dust under it, so I popped open the case and cleaned the inside of the screen protector, and my screen.

Popped the case back on, and behold: Newton Rings.

The only way I can see to get rid of them (they're caused by contact between the screen and protector) is to shim up the protector, which is going to allow dust in, and could also cause rubbing/wearmarks on the phone.

    Any ideas?
