I just got up from my desk and reached to grab my phone from it's case and the case was very warm to the touch. Pulled out the phone and the phone was also very warm...almost hot! Looked and saw battery was drained down to less than half a charge. I removed the battery from the phone and "rebooted", put the phone back in the case for my walk back to my office. When I got back I pulled the phone out of the case again and the battery was almost completely dead. Anyone run across this problem...does it have something to do with the case?

viigo may be the culprit if its left on all the time. how long have you had the phone?

Yep, and some people have issues with Facebook also.

Yup. All you had to say was Viigo and Facebook. Those are the likely culprits!

facebook was really bad for me. it didnt make my battery hot, but it did eat up my memory like crazy! i would uninstall both of those apps, and then see how it does.

And like I usually recommend to people: If you're going to delete Viigo, Yahoo! Go is a pretty good app and in ways I find it better than when I had Viigo.

I've had the phone since the beginning of january...no issues at all, in fact I've been pleasantly tickled to say the least. I've had Viigo and facebook app installed for about 2 weeks now with no issues. Wonder why it's all the sudden acting up?

Don't forget to do a battery pull after the uninstall.

By the way, after you do the battery pull:

If for some reason you have icons not showing up, that means that your phone re-started in safe mode. Take the battery out again and give it about 30 seconds before you put it back in. Just a common problem that happens sometimes after un-installing an app.

I did the uninstall from the desktop manager (which I'm assuming is the only way you can uninstall???) and it automatically rebooted. Should I still power down and do the battery pull process?

    I would.

Next time go to Options>Advanced Options>Applications. Find the app and select Delete from the menu. Easier than the DM.

Removed Viigo, restarted phone with a power off and battery pull...charged battery up to 60%, and everything has been going well since. Although I havent used the phone pouch/case.

I might just skip on the Viigo and use the google reader app and or yahoo stuff.

If anything else comes up I'll do my best to keep this post up to date!
