So I installed an invisible shield Monday. It was working perfect all the way through last night. I never put it in the cradle until last night. It was kind of snug but it fit in regardless. Battery was only half dead so it should have fully charged by this morning. BTW, the battery had the normal pink line through the middle so I know there was no water issues with this.

I woke up and tried to try and use the phone and saw it was off. I could not power it on for the life of me. I must have did about 20 battery pulls. I plugged the charger back in (tried both usb cable and wall charger) and all I would get was the Battery icon in the middle of the screen with a lightning bolt through the middle which basically indicates charging. I tried to retrieve my contacts at least by connecting to the desktop manager but this would not even recognize my device.

Anyone ever had this happen to you? I'm kinda bummed cause after 3 weeks I finally got it working the way I wanted, my settings were almost perfect for me. Luckily, Verizon is sending me a new one and said I should receive it by tomorrow.

It might not have been making good contact,
After I put my phantomskinz on, it fit, but was a 2 hander, I took an exacto to the sides of the cradle, (didn't take much), and that loosened it back up.
If you look the sides of the pod have a tapered lip that guides the phone in, a little clearance definitely helps..

    Great Job!

I am afraid to install the invis shield on my Storm. I must say it looks great on my brothers Instinct but I am way too nervous.

If you are careful and don't use too much fluid, you'll be fine. Pull the battery and don't power it up for a few hours--so do it before you go to bed and it will be ok by morning.

The weird thing was that it was working for a good day or two after the IS install which was why I was wondering if I squished it between the cradle and somehow made it malfunction.

My Storm acts waaaay funny after coming out of pod. First one died after being in pod all night. Second one has screen issues after being in pod all night. Screen loosens a bit throughout day. But when it first comes out screen is a rock and non responsive.

Think the pod may be a problem.

a lot of people probably are not letting the phone sit to "cure" for 24 hours after they put on the skin. this is to make sure that any liquid left behind properly evaporates.

anyways, just stick your phone a a warm place to make sure it's all dried out if you can't wait 24hours.

Guess, I'm going to join the crowd now, as I used it this morning, then when I went to use it at lunch, nothing!! Came back to the shop after lunch, and checked the battery, measured good. Put battery back in and and still nothing. Guess that was fun for two days! I'll take it back in and see if the next one will last a full week.

Did you do the same thing I did or was your problem with installing the IS?

No I don't have a cradle, heck I just had this thang for only a day and half!! Charged it last night (wall socket) and used it a little bit in the morning and put it away, then at noon I was going to use again, no dice!!
