well, many of us have been looking for a desktop cradle for our new 9630's. i couldn't find anything i liked so i modified mine to work with the 9630.

pretty easy actually. i encourage others to try yourselves. works great, makes contact every time.

thats about it. the cradle comes a part pretty easy. once i did that, i took a dremel tool and cut 2 new slots. then i just bent the metal contacts to fit the new slots. took all of 20 minutes.

i did have to take a heat gun and move the tabs on the cradle out a little. the original 8300 mold wanted to contact the left convenience key of the new 9630.

overall, i am very happy with the look and function. i wouldn't buy a new cradle now even if a god one was available..... well, maybe if i also charged a spare 9630 battery at the same time like the original "blackberry power station" does. thats until i modify that part. hmmmm
