    so i used one of the $3 snap on hard cases with a clip from amazon and cut a small square of the back were the knob for the clip to attach is, then cut a whole in the OEM silicon case, it worked fine but the plastic square seemed to move around a lot so i taped it to the backplate now it works great. The reason i did this was because i like the clip, but the plastic cases add A LOT of bulk, don't feel good in my hand and if i dropped my phone they fly off, contradicting the use of the case in the first place.

    how hard was it to stretch the silicon over the plastic case?

    I think I would have maybe tried to measure the hole.. and maybe since it's stretches.. make a way smaller hole and stretch it around the hole....

    Good thinking out of the box though...

    i didnt i cut a small square off of the plastic case

    and cutting a tiny hole would be the way to go
