Hey, just wondering what memory cards people have or what they would recommend?

Currently looking at a 16gb sandisk class 4 "ultra" which advertises speeds up to 15mbps but surely those speeds wouldn't last very long? and theres a class 6 16gb...both similar prices.

Sorry I have seen a similar post a few threads down but they haven't really answered my question, especially on whether these high speeds actually last long.

I run a Class 2 16gb Sandisk card in mine. Works just ducky.

For playback of music and video, Class 2 is fine. Where the Class 4/6 cards help is when you write to the card.

So for instance, I used MediaSync to put a little over 1500 songs onto my card. The first time I ran it took a while.

But as I said, playback is fine.

I guess where it would also help is if you plan on taking lots of pictures. When you open the Pictures folder, I suppose a Class 4/6 card would bring up all of your thumbnails more quickly.

I say save money and get a Sandisk Class 2 card (or even some of the other card brands like Viking, PNY, etc.).

The speeds are how fast the card reads/ writes data to the card.
    It doesn't degrade over time.
To me, I use fast cards in my cameras, but for a phone a class 2 is fine as mentioned above.

Thanks, just ended up getting a san disk class 4, only a few more than a class 2 and with a free usb reader.
