I have a usb wall charger. Specs:

    INPUT: 100-240VAC
    0.3A. 50~60Hz

    OUTPUT: 5.0V=400mA

I don't know what any of this means, I just don't want to fry my 8900. Will this charger be ok?

    Thanks!

It will work just fine but it will take longer to charge your battery than the one that comes with the 8900.

    Curve Charger spec is

    INPUT:100-240V ~ 150mA 50-60 Hz'
    OUTPUT: 5V - 700mA

As long as the output V (Volt) is the same and the mA is equal or less than the standard charger it's 'ok' to use, you wouldn't fry your Curve. You should be able to use it without any problem. Although that charger may take a bit longer to fully charge the battery since the output is only 400mA comparing to the original 700mA from the original charger

i'm using a 550mA Nokia phone charger to charge my 8900 all the time and I don't see any issue so far.

Worse case scenario you can use the data cable and a computer to charge your phone. If the BB says something about "underpowered," install the driver from Windows Update or use the BB Desktop Manager.
