    Hey again,

I was wondering if the Blackberry charging pod will allow me to sync with the computer? The pod is plugged into the computer but I don't know if it's able to sync with desktop manager.

    Thanks

No, it won't. The pod needs to be connected to the wall. It has nothing to do with syncing.

Sync is only through USB and/or Bluetooth with Desktop Manager

If you examine a charging pod you'll see there are no actual data connections, just contacts that match up with the charging contacts on the back of your BB.

I can use any data cable (USB to miniUSB) to connect my BB to my computer, correct? (ie. don't need a BB branded one)

My sister has one lying around for her digital camera. Can I use that one?

As long as the plug is the same size, any cable will do.
