Ive never had a holster for my phone that puts it to sleep or soemthing where the phone knows its in the holster, does the holster that the Tour comes with put it to sleep with the magnet or no?

I think they all do (the RIM models that come with the Berry). My holster for my Bold does a good job and helps save on battery life.

FYI ppl the curve leather holster fits the tour perfectly and puts it in standby... this is beneficial when you can run memory cleaning while in holster and also change ring tone settings... also it has saved my phone from breaking when i drop it numberous time... the holster that coems with the tour is huge and also has a belt clip which is very large and unconfortable IMO

I love the holster (no matter what Berry we are discussing). The belt clip is very durable. Also, the familiar "snap" of the holster cover guarantees that my Berry is nice and safe in its resting spot.

During busy days at work, I'm replying to emails, juggling papers and copy, answering phones, etc. I used to accidentally knock my Curve 8300 off my desk. With the holster, this never happens.

    Very useful to me.

thanks guys, yea i always had my storm in either my back pocket or front right pocket, but now with the jeans that have a button ontop of the front right pocket(scratches it to H3LL) and the back pockets with buttons too, this holster should be GREAT

i feel like the holster in the pocket is the best deal.. prevents you from pressing keys... cleans memory... doesn't get in the way of anything and is still small and light weight...

i feel with the belt clip holster i looks tacky almost like a construction worker or something... why not just wear a fanny pack and keep your phone in there, your car keys, wallet, ect... HAHAA

i'm just kidding i used to use the belt clip all the time but have gone back to the in pocket case...

With the pocket case, can you take the clip off of it and just have the leather in your pocket? or does it need to be the whole thing
