I have an 8830, and I bought a "leather" case on eBay that claimed to be the OEM holster with the swivel belt clip. I love the design of the case, but after a couple of weeks of use the black covering on the flap has started to crack. On close inspection it appears to be vinyl rather than leather.

The case was really cheap on eBay, and I'd assumed that was because they are widely available. Now I'm wondering if I got a good counterfeit.

Edit: Here's a link to a case like the one I bought... NEW Blackberry OEM Case 8800 8820 8830 - eBay (item 270248264850 end time Jun-23-08 09:31:55 PDT)

Can anyone confirm whether the true OEM swivel holsters are leather? I like this case a lot, and I'd be willing to shell out for the version sold here in the Crackberry Store if I knew for sure that it wasn't just going to crack again...

The actual OEM holster is durable and nice. I personally use the OEM pouch that came with my Curve.

I know many people love the OEM holster with sleep magnet. You can get it off of Amazon or CrackBerry for about $15. This also allows Curve users to have a skin on their Berry and it still fits the holster.

The actual OEM holster is leather though

yeah, the holster that came with my 8830 has been fine, and certainly looks to be leather.

Amazing that people would bother to counterfeit such a cheap thing.
