Anyone have one of these they want to sell? I've been looking all over locally and no one has them and the prices online are too expensive. If anyone has an extra one or just have one they want to sell, Please let me know. My USB port on my berry completely broke off and I can sync with bluetooth but cannot charge. I'm LOST without it!! Thanks in advance! -Joe

Yeah I've been to all 10 T-Mobile stores in my area and no dice. Also checked with the AT&T stores and they don't have them either.

Newegg just had a killer deal for them. I was thinking of getting one but when I checked back today they had deactivated the item.

You could ask one of the corp T-Mobile stores to order one from one of their other stores (in their district), or check to see if they can send you one through customer service. I know the one near me still has them for $6.99.

I visited a TMo store today, they didn't have one. The store reps didn't know about the deal - I'm not saying there wasn't a deal, just that these guys had no clue. They tried to sell me one from their website for $30. I might have to call around myself, but Amazon had a much better price than that TMo online store.

@exelant, For what it's worth the SKU for this item is SUPM32077.
Maybe that can help the store staff

I'll give it a shot, at a different store. This was a new store near my work so their training may not have been the best.

    OK, I'm miffed.

My USB jack broke at 11 pm on Wednesday night so I bought one from CrackBerry (without a cord!) for $24.95. But I needed it quick, so I paid $29.95 to get it end of day Friday (there was an option to pay $80 for early morning Friday) or else wait until Monday for $12.95, Wednesday for $7.95 or as late as the next Friday for $5.95.

I had searched for them online at Best Buy but they didn't seem to have them there. But on Thursday I went to best Buy anyway and they had them for $29.99 WITH cord. So I bought it for my husband because now I know we should have been using pods from the beginning. So, $80 later and we have two charging pods.

I would have loved to have gotten them for $6.99 each!

I just ordered two from newegg for a total of 25 shipped yesterday. Go to newegg.com, join the website and click auto notify and when they come in stock they will email you. I would order them soon as you get the email. I got one two weeks ago forgot to order when I got home I tried they were sold out. But they come in fast. Like I said I got an email yesterday.

I got really good deals on both of mine on eBay. I think I paid like $10 for one and then I got another one with the charger for like $15.

If the USB connector on the phone is broken then you cannot charge the phone, sync, Backup/Restore or update the OS - Ouch.

A broken USB connector cannot be fixed at home so please do not try. Have a look at www.bbreparshop.com. They fixed my phone when it needed specialist hardware help. They are expensive but do a good job.

You can get a Seidio charging cradle...the one you just sit your BB in...not "plug" it in...on Amazon for $24.95 I've bought 3!! I use one at work, one in my home office, and one beside my bed. It's so handy to just grab your BB and not have to unplug a cord.

I use a Seidio Innocase (which I highly recommend also) and it works with the case left on...don't have to remove case to charge BB.

    Great stuff....Seidio !!

When I needed one, I got it off eBay for a lot less than some online sites were selling them for.

The two gold contacts on either side of the battery door latch are the charging contacts.

I just ordered the charging dock off of amazon for $13. Shipping was around $3. I don't think it was sold from amazon.. but one of the marketplace sellers. The seller had pretty much 100% positive reviews.

Others may but the one being discussed in this thread can't.

The BlackBerry charging cradle only connects to the two gold contacts at the back of the Curve (side on the Bold). Some 3rd party cradles connect to the USB port and advertize this as a charge/sync cradle. This is clearly useless if you wish to avoid using the USB port for charging.

I have never understood why RIM did not put an extra 2 contacts on the back and used those to sync/Backup/upgrade as well as charge. The USB port would then be redundant.
