OK... So I just got the 8900 ... Heck yes btw... But I came up from a 8320 and I use the cradle for it at home and at work. So when I got the new phone I was bummed to see that it didn't fit, by only about an 1/8th" due to the elonated desin so I took my cradle and went to town with a dremel. Works great. So I thougt I'd let everyone know. BOOYAH, don't gotta spend more cash ...sweet.

Interesting. Can you please post some pics? I'm sure there will be some here very interested in modifying their current 83xx cradles.

    here we go

here's a stock photo for what it looks like before

FRONT, no real visible changes and it still loos stock when the phone is in the cradle

from the top looking down, you can see where I dremel'd out the bottom

and here's another angle from the top

sorry it took so long to post pictures... been uber busy.. but the whole process only took about 5 min of tinkering and it works flawlessly.

I'm sure if you wanted to spend more time you could use fine sandpaper and practically polish the sanded area back to original gleam... but i was just curious if this would even work... maybe when time permits, I'll spend some more time and post some more pictures.

but this just proves you don't have to buy a new cradle... unless you wanna spend the cash.

i just use my Dremel with a small diameter sanding end and went to town... taking out the bottom abs and checking each little bit till it worked... took about 5 min all together
