Oh yeah. The one I have can charge the phone and a spare battery and my headset. Also I have BBLight so when its on the charger on my desk at work I have it set to keep the screen lit, which makes for a pretty cool working platform.

when my boss saw that i got a new blackberry (curve) last week, the first thing he told me was to get a cradle for charging - the reason being that when the usb cable is plugged into the phone, you really shouldn't handle the phone. The usb cable wiggles in the phone when you handle it, and over time you'll wiggle the usb port on the inside of the phone loose. he's gone through 4 phones (pearls) because of this...and he mentioned that his best friend has also gone through 4 phones because of the same problem (the friend also has a pearl.) i'm ordering a cradle this week.

Searching through ebay, I have yet to find a cradle for my 8830we that doesn't use the USB port.

Would definitely be nice to find one that uses the two charging pads on the left side.

I bought this version from Seidio Online and its great. With the lights off, I used to fish for the usb charging port (fearing that I might scratch the phone) just before I sleep but now I just drop it in the cradle. No hassle. I also have the rubberized hard case from Seidio too on my 8320 Curve and its compatible with the case on or off. Retail is ~$30 but its really convenient.

the cradle for the Pearl from Sprint is kinda overpriced and i've seen them actually damage the charging prongs on the back of the phone. so id try a different one. but yes cradles are a nice idea.

I have the Seidio Charging Cradle as well, the nice thing is that it works with a skinned or unskinned phone. Today's the first day using it but, so far I like being able to drop the phone in the cradle and the fact the the phone stand upright allowing you to see the screen.

    Well worth the $29.95

I bought the OEM cradle off eBay for $20... No regrets. I keep it at work because I'm terrified someone (myself included) will knock it off my desk at home. Can't have that!

Plus it looks slick and business-y at work. Even though I'm not a business user... I like to look like one. ;D

    Original equipment manufacturer

I tried to get the Seidio cradle but they were backordered. Then put of stock. For now I have the leather holder. It works. But I really wanted that cradle. ;(
