Hey everyone. Just a quick question for fellow 8900 owners.
Like most people I'm looking for a case now to keep my bb from getting all scratched and dented. But knowing that I'll probably own this phone for at least a year from now(maybe more if there isn't a free upgrade) and experience with other albeit cheaper phones I'm wondering if a cover for the keyboard is necessary to make sure the writing doesn't fade and disappear after time. I've used it quite a bit already and I don't even have the data plan as yet.
For those of you who have had your 8900's for six months or more are you noticing any fading and smudging or is this not something to worry about.

    Thanks

    Really? That's great news!

With that out of the way I can just get a normal case.
    Thx pikelon

Loved my Seido Innocase 360 - protected keyboard without issues and actually I felt made it easier to type.

If you have larger fingers a case with silicone over top of the keyboard will make it easier to type.
You shouldn't have any fading problems though, so if its fine to type don't worry about protecting the keyboard.

if u get a case with keyboard protection the only problem for me is the keyboard lights, they wont b as bright

I realised afterwards that the Seido Innocase 360 had keyboard protection but whatever they make the letters out of seems to be industrial grade to withstand the rigors of months of typing so I went ahead and ordered a a couple silicone cases.

John P. how are the keyboard lights through the innocase?

yeah the letters wont fade, but if for some weird reason they do, for very cheaply you can buy the keyboard for very cheap from cnn or somewhere else like that.
