Guys who have the pouch style case with your new 9900 can you check the padded part inside and see if there is a groove like line running on both the side

    Thanks

The groove use to be to accommodate the trackball. Not sure why you would need it with a trackpad.

Does the Telus version come with a pouch and not a holster? Damn the Rogers one comes with a holster.

The holster is pretty sweet, for once RIM learned something and made the sides lower than the front and back, so those that use headphones can leave them connected.

LOL. I already ordered a pouch for mine. I would have traded you (each pay for shipping). Dang, I don't even need the holster. I always get holsters and they just sit in the box.

Is the pouch now available to purchase from RIM's site or anywhere else?

I honestly loved the holster from my 9700, even over the pouch. I am sure this one is top notch as well.

It is! I think the holster is killer! better stitching reminds me of the quality 9000 holster that came with.

All Indian units come with Pouch, not the strapped holster as seen else where and I think it's good.

My only question on the holster is how wide of a belt will it work with. I use a full width belt and most RIM holster clips do not work. I am using a RIM holster from an older device, I think a Curve, it's the only one that fits a wider belt.

But don't pay that price! Shop around for it - you'll find it much cheaper.

I have the pocket pouch for the 9900. The only issue I have with it is that red stitching is more exposed from the inside. So, when I slide the bold in or out of the pouch the convenience key sometimes gets caught into the stitching. I'm hoping the pouch will stretch over time and this will no longer be an issue.

Never had this issue with my torch 9800 pouch but the buttons were not sharp metal like the 9900. My wife's 9900 pouch has the same issue. Maybe a bit of superglue on the inside stitching will help.
