the fm transmitters are horrible unless you have an amplified antenna because they come in and out if there is a station that is trying to come in. i could be wrong about the really expensive ones, but the seventy dollar one i tried was bad, i just have a plug in my head unit and plug it in there!!!

I use a Monster cable for my curve which I got at radio shack that does the FM trasnmitter thing and it works as well as the one for my ipod does.

Another problem that I have is that if I download iTunes and transfer them to my Storm - even if I get the DRM off using third party software - the music quality sucks. It sounds like I taped it from a copy of a copy (takes me back to the 90's!).

I bought a Motorola 505 to do the blue tooth to FM thing - it is like pushing string uphill against a downhill wind. Went back to dummy cassette with cord. Will try to use 505 ONLY for calls.

For the car mount, you could use one of those universal windshield suction cup PDA/Phone holders. They work decent.
